Carlos Alcaraz route to the 2022 Wimbledon final | Spaniard looking to break grand slam duck

Alcaraz aims to break new ground

Carlos Alcaraz saw his Wimbledon campaign come to an end at the fourth round stage when he was beaten 6-1, 6-4, 6-7(8-10), 6-3 by Italy’s Jannik Sinner.

The 19 year old has reached the quarter final stage in two of his last three Grand Slams as well as claiming both the Miami Open and Madrid Open in 2022. He’s rapidly improved and has reached number six in the ATP rankings being the youngest player in the top 100.

The Spaniard seems to be the heir apparent to Rafa Nadal but with the two men on opposite sides of the draw, they can only meet in the final where a real changing of the guard moment could occur.

Whilst this certainly won’t be the last chance Alcaraz has to make his mark on the tournament but this tournament looks as though it could be a really good chance for him to go all the way.

Read on to find out how Alcaraz could make it to the final.
