Brandon Nakashima and Nick Kyrgios will square off in the Round of 16 of Wimbledon 2022 on Centre Court on Monday.
Nakashima seems to be enjoying the grass season so far as he registered 10 victories in his 13 matches on this surface. Brandon made the quarterfinals in Surbiton and Hertogenbosch before reaching the round of 16 in Eastbourne a fortnight ago.
The American has dropped just two sets in his three matches at Wimbledon so far after beating the likes of Kuhn, Shapovalov, and Galan Riveros.
Nakashima served very well in the previous round against Galan Riveros, but he is now facing a top-class grass-court player in the shape of Nick Kyrgios.
Meanwhile, Kyrgios was able to defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas in four sets in the previous round despite losing the opening set. It was a controversial match with both players accusing each other’s behaviour on the court.
Kyrgios has dropped three sets in his first three rounds at Wimbledon this week, although two of these were against Jubb in the opening match.
Overall, the enigmatic Australian is having an excellent season with 21 victories out of 29 matches.
