Last year’s runner-up Ons Jabeur takes on Bianca Andreescu in a tasty Third Round tie at Wimbledon on Saturday.
Jabeur, who took the first set of last year’s final, remains in pursuit of an elusive maiden Grand Slam title, having also lost in the final of last year’s US Open.
The Tunisian trailblazer has bounced back from an injury setback which required her to undergo knee surgery earlier this season, picking up her fourth WTA title in Charleston.
Quarter-finalist at the French Open, Jabeur has started strongly on her return to SW19, seeing off Magdalena Fręch and Bai Zhuoxuan in straight sets.
Andreescu, meanwhile, finds herself into the Third Round at Wimbledon for the first time in four attempts since her debut here in 2017.
The Canadian star, who won the US Open in 2019, has dropped to 37th in the world rankings but looks to be playing herself back into form.
Andreescu has battled through last set deciders in both of her matches this week, firstly edging out Anna Bondár before overcoming 26th seed Anhelina Kalinina.
Jabeur won the only previous meeting between the pair in Montreal two years ago.
Either two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitová or qualifier Natalija Stevanović will await the winner in the Fourth Round next week.
Play gets underway from around 4pm BST on Centre Court on Saturday and will be contested over the best of three sets.
