Daria Kasatkina v Victoria Azarenka live stream | Wimbledon 2023 Third Round Preview

Daria Kasatkina and Victoria Azarenka line up for what promises to be a cracker of a third round contest at Wimbledon 2023.

The Russian is a former quarter-finalist at Wimbledon and reached the semi-finals at Roland-Garros last year, so despite not having ever won a Grand Slam title she does have some pedigree in the big events.

Azarenka has a clutch of Grand Slam final appearances, but all on hard courts. She has two Australian Open titles and three US Open final appearances, the last in 2020.

Kasatkina has had an average season so far for her standards, but then so has Azarenka. They both have a 56% win record in 2023 and neither have won a title, though Kasatkina has made two finals, including one on the grass at Eastbourne. Azarenka was in the semi-finals in Australia as well, showing that she still has the game for the big occasions.

Azarenka has the best of the head-to-head, 2-0 in completed matches between the pair, but both of those were on clay. There isn’t much between the pair in terms of their grass pedigree so I am expecting a very tight match here. Ultimately the power of Azarenka may be the key to get the result.

The winner of this match will play either Elina Svitolina or Sofia Kenin in the fourth round at the weekend.

The match gets underway at around 3pm BST on Friday and will be contested over the best of three sets on Court 12.
