World number one and defending champion Novak Djokovic takes on Denis Kudla in the third round of Wimbledon 2021 on Friday.
Djokovic enters this clash on the back of a 13-match winning streak on both clay and grass surfaces. After claiming the French Open title three weeks ago, Djokovic is eyeing a third consecutive Grand Slam title and a sixth Wimbledon crown.
He unexpectedly dropped a set against Jake Draper in the opening round of Wimbledon 2021, but then reeled off a straight-sets victory over Kevin Anderson in the following round. Djokovic has won the recent two editions of Wimbledon and has not lost a completed match here since his shock exit to Sam Querrey in 2016.
Kudla had to play in the qualifiers in order to book his place in the main draw of Wimbledon 2021. He has not lost a single set in the qualifying stages, but things got a bit harder in the main draw.
He needed five sets to defeat Davidovich Fokina in the opening round, but he followed this with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Andreas Seppi in the second round (6-2,6-4,6-2). Kudla has been in good shape on grass recently, having won 11 of his 13 matches.
Djokovic has won the previous meetings with Kudla in straight sets and we fancy him to grab another comfortable victory here. Our prediction is Under 28.5 Games at the price of 7/10 with Bet365.
