Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic are aiming to reach their first Wimbledon quarter-final when they collide on Sunday.
It promises to be an intriguing battle on Centre Court between the four-time major winner and Olympic gold medallist – both of whom are looking to break new ground at the All England Club.
The three-time French Open winner and reigning US Open champion, Swiatek will be eager to complete part three of a potential career grand slam this fortnight.
And the world number one is yet to drop a set so far – overcoming Lin Zhu, Sara Sorribes Tormo, Petra Martic – on the way to matching her best performance at Wimbledon, where she was beaten by Ons Jabeur at this stage two years ago.
The Pole, who is targeting his fourth title of the season, has prevailed in two of her three previous meetings with Bencic.
Although, the Swiss came out on top in their sole major encounter, winning in straight sets at this stage of the 2021 US Open.
Bencic is making her third appearance in round four at SW19 – also getting this far in 2015 and 2018 – having dropped just one set along the way.
After defeating home favourite Katie Swan, the Olympic champion came through a dramatic tie-break with former Australian Open runner-up Danielle Collins, before breezing past Magda Linette 6-3, 6-1.
Like Swiatek, the former Flushing Meadows semi-finalist is also a multiple WTA winner this season, triumphing in Abu Dhabi and Adelaide.
And if she comes through here, Bencic will be confident of adding to that by going on to land her maiden career major.
The winner of this match will play either two-time grand slam winner Victoria Azarenka or 2019 semi-finalist Elina Svitolina in the last eight at Wimbledon.
Play gets underway at around 4pm BST on Sunday and will be contested over the best of three sets on Centre Court.
