Second seed Rafael Nadal will face in-form American Taylor Fritz in the Quarter-Finals of Wimbledon 2022 on Wednesday.

Fritz was the player that ended Nadal’s unbeaten start to the year as he beat the Spaniard at Indian Wells back in March.

Fritz has been in excellent shape on grass over the past three weeks and he enters this clash on the back of an eight-match winning streak on this surface.

The American has won the Eastbourne tournament prior to the start of Wimbledon and he is now in the Quarter-Finals of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

In addition, Fritz is yet to drop a single set at Wimbledon this fortnight after registering four straight-set victories over Lorenzo Musetti, Alastair Gray, Alex Molcan, and Jason Kubler.

Nadal had a slow start to this Wimbledon campaign as he dropped a set against both Franciso Cerundolo and Ricardas Berankis in the opening two rounds. However, he has improved his level in the next two rounds against Lorenzo Sonego and Botic Van De Zandschulp.

Rafa has won more Grand Slams than anyone else and this is the first time in his career when he has a good chance of completing the hallowed calendar Grand Slam.

The Spaniard holds a perfect record of seven victories and no defeats in the Quarter-Finals at Wimbledon and he has won all his 18 matches in slams this year.
