Wimbledon is finally here but how will the weather affect the tournament? Get the latest updates here.
Forecasts have been released, by the Met Office, for the two weeks covering the Grand Slam and things are looking promising, with a prominently dry spell expected throughout.
The first week of the tournament sees temperatures in the low to mid 20s and, without much rain forecast at all outside of the first few days, we should be in for plenty of exciting tennis action across the week.
The second week does not look quite as promising, with more rain on the horizon, but showers look to be isolated to earlier in the day and disruption to play should be minimal, especially with the majority of matches taking place under the roof of centre court or court one.
It seems likely at this point that the weather shouldn’t impact too much on the tournament and that spectators arriving in SW19 should enjoy a warm, and mostly dry, time at the third Grand Slam of 2023.
