Iga Swiatek vs Aryna Sabalenka live stream with Bet365 | WTA Madrid Open Final Preview

Here we go again. In what is turning into a real rivalry at the top of the women’s game, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka will clash in the Madrid Open final on Saturday at around 12noon UK time. 

Competing with the new King of England’s coronation might be a difficult task for the women’s final, but there’s no doubt that we will be in for an entertaining clash here.

Sabalenka is a former champion in Madrid, beating Ash Barty in 2021, so she will feel very confident that she has the game to win this one. The difference in conditions from their Stuttgart final last week is quite vast, with this being held outdoors and at altitude, both of which should help close the gap for Sabalenka.

However, Swiatek just looks locked into her clay game at the moment. Unbeaten on the surface so far this year, she is at ease with the surface and is back to demolishing opponents. Veronika Kudermetova was taken to Iga’s bakery for a double baguette (6-1 6-1) in the semi-finals yesterday, whereas Sabalenka had to work a bit harder to dismiss Maria Sakkari.

The head-to-head now stands at 6-2 to Swiatek, and 3-0 to the Pole on clay. If ever Sabalenka was going to have a good shot at beating Swiatek on clay then the Madrid conditions may well provide the best opportunity to do that. I think that we might see a surprise here with Sabalenka taking the match to three sets and eventually worrying Swiatek out of it.
