Ons Jabeur and Cori Gauff go head-to-head in the Semi-Finals of the 2022 WTA German Open in Berlin on Saturday.

Number one and seven seed collide in a mouth-watering contest which signals a repeat of their French Open battle last year.

Gauff came out on top on that occasion and has won three of their four meetings to date, but there appears very little to choose between the pair this time around.

Jabeur is enjoying her highest-ever ranking of four and is eyeing her fourth final of the season, following on from Charleston, Madrid and Rome.

The Tunisian star may be yet to win a match in a Grand Slam so far this season but has been in fine form on the circuit with an overall record of 28-9.

She saw off Karolina Muchova and Alycia Parks in straight sets to kick-start her run this week, before battling her way past Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 in the Quarter-Finals.

Gauff is rapidly improving her pedigree on the grass court surface and has seemingly picked up from where she left off on clay at the French Open – finishing runner-up to a rampant Iga Swiatek.

The 18-year-old American knocking out former world number one Karolina Pliskova 7-5, 6-4 in the Quarter-Finals, having already dispatched Ann Li and Xin Wang in straight sets.

The world number 13 boasts in impressive record against top ten opposition and will look to continue her blistering spell of form to reach yet another final with Wimbledon just around the corner.
