The wedding took place at the historic La Fortaleza, with about 350 guests in attendance.
Among the guests were former King of Spain, King Juan Carlos I, and Spanish tennis players, Feliciano Lopez and the now-retired David Ferrer. Nadal’s former coach, Toni Nadal was also present, while current trainers, Carlos Moya and Francisco Roig were in attendance.
The 33-year-old Nadal wore a grew suit for the wedding, while Perello, also known by her nickname, ‘Xisca’, put on a stunning long sleeve wedding dress, designed by Spanish fashion designer, Rosa Clara.
Nadal proposed to the 31-year-old Perelló in May 2018 during a vacation to Rome after 14 years together.
It has been another successful season for Nadal, who has won four titles, including a 12th French Open crown, and a fourth title at the US Open, taking his major tally to 19- just one behind Roger Federer’s all-time record.
Despite not playing since his Flushing Meadows success, the great Spaniard will replace Novak Djokovic as the world No. 1 at the start of November, and is in pole position to finish the season on top of the ATP rankings. The left-hander is next scheduled to compete at the Paris Masters, live from Saturday, 26 October.
