Keys last appearance in a final, the 2017 edition of this competition, ended in defeat and she’ll be trying to break her Grand Slam duck and move into the WTA elite. Sabalenka has had an extraordinary year, winning the Australian Open before making the semi-final in both the French Open and Wimbledon.

Madison Keys road to the US Open quarter-finals

Keys has found form at the right time, coming into the US Open and dropping just one set against some impressive opponents. This is her toughest test to date but she’ll have extra motivation with a potential all-US final in the reckoning, against Cori Gauff.

Sabalenka has yet to drop a set in this tournament, only losing four game in a set once and looks to be in imperious form. She’ll be keen to make the final after losing in the semi-final of the US Open in the previous two years, and cap off what has been a very impressive calendar year for the 25-year-old.
