Jannik Sinner looks to maintain his unblemished record against Diego Schwartzman when the pair face off in the second round at Wimbledon.
The Italian has prevailed in each of the three previous meetings between the players, including a pair of straight-set victories, though the Argentine retired injured from their clash at Monte Carlo earlier this year.
Both players arrive for their latest showdown off the back of commanding three-set wins in the opening round; Sinner sweeping Juan Manuel Cerundolo aside 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, while Schwartzman defeated Miomir Kecmanovic 6-0, 6-3, 6-4.
Sinner has enjoyed a welcome upturn in fortunes on grass in recent times.
The eighth seed arrived at Wimbledon last year having never previously recorded a tour-level victory on surface. But he broke his duck and embarked on a strong run to the quarter-finals, defeating Carlos Alcaraz, John Isner and Stan Wawrinka along the way.
The 21-year-old also recently reached the last eight in s’Hertogenbosch and Halle in a season that has seen him triumph in Montpellier, while finishing as runner-up in Miami and Rotterdam.
Meanwhile, a leg injury has seriously hampered Schwartzman’s campaign, in which he has lost his opening match in 11 events and notably failed to record a victory during the Golden Swing – traditionally one of his stronger periods on the calendar.
Once ranked as high as eighth in the world, the Argentine recently slipped out of the top 100, and will be desperately seeking a consistent spell of positive form at the very least.
The 30-year-old will match his best performance at Wimbledon with a victory, which would see him into round three for the third time in eight appearances.
The winner of this match will play either Aleksandar Vukic or Quentin Halys in the third round at Wimbledon.
Play gets underway at around 6pm BST on Wednesday and will be contested over the best of five sets on No.1 Court.
