Last year’s final saw Elena Rybakina beat Ons Jabeur in three, and the Kazakhstani athlete is amongst the favourites to hold the trophy aloft this year. It was Rybakina’s first Grand Slam and she almost made it two in a year after making the Australian Open final earlier in 2023.
Iga Swiatek will hope to be prominent this year though, following up on her French Open victory last month.
