Novak Djokovic aims to maintain his perfect record against Adrian Mannarino when they face off in the Australian Open fourth round on Sunday.

The world number one has prevailed in each of the four previous meetings between the players, albeit the most recent came at the 2018 Cincinnati Open.

Nursing a minor wrist injury, Djokovic required four sets to surpass Dino Prizmic and Alexei Popyrin in his opening two matches, but saw off Tomas Etcheverry in three last time out.

By contrast, Mannarino has come through three deciding sets to match his best performance at a slam.

The French veteran has defeated former champion Stan Wawrinka along the way, as well as Jaume Munar and 16th seed Ben Shelton.

The match gets under way from around 2.30am GMT (1.30pm local time) on Rod Laver Arena, with either Taylor Fritz or Stefanos Tsitsipas awaiting the winner in the quarter-finals.

You must go back to 2018 for the last time Djokovic failed to progress beyond the fourth round at the Australian Open.

Ironically, that was the last time he appeared in the event without lifting the trophy.

Mannarino is looking to cause a huge upset in his bid to break new ground at a slam.

But doing so off the back of three straight deciding sets appears a big ask for the 35-year-old, who may subsequently struggle to keep up with the 10-time champion.
