The Method

How to Read H2H Records

Raw head-to-head numbers tell part of the story but rarely the full picture. A player who leads 10–3 overall but has lost the last four meetings is not necessarily the favourite. When analysing an H2H for betting, four factors matter most:

Current surface

Form on the surface in play. Clay, grass and hard reward different games — a record can flip entirely by surface.

Last 12 months

Recent meetings outweigh old ones. A rivalry can swing fast as players develop or decline.

The tournament

Record at this specific event. Some players simply own certain venues and conditions.

Form & fitness

Injury or a form dip makes earlier results less relevant. Context is everything.

H2H data is most useful in combination with current form and surface analysis. For full predictions, visit our betting tips; for career stats and form guides, see the player profiles. Using bookmaker links may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. 18+ · T&Cs apply · BeGambleAware.org.
