Stefanos Tsitsipas looks to continue his impressive recent form against Nicolas Jarry in the Italian Open quarter-finals on Thursday.

The Greek has recovered from a slow start to the season, and is building momentum nicely ahead of the French Open later this month.

A winner in Monte-Carlo and runner-up in Barcelona, Tsitsipas was forced to come from behind against Jan-Lennard Struff in his opening match in Rome, but has not looked back since.

Indeed, he put Cameron Norrie to the sword 6-2, 7-6(1), before a dominant 6-1, 6-2 rout of ninth seed Alex de Minaur.

Meanwhile, Jarry had not previously won a match in his two previous main-draws in the Italian capital, but has made amends this year.

The Chilean, who was runner-up in Buenos Aires and a Miami Open quarter-finalist, has also dropped just a single set on the way to his third last-eight appearance of the campaign.

The match gets under way at around 6pm BST (7pm local time) and will be contested over the best of three sets on Center Court.

Runner-up here in 2022, this is Tsitsipas’ fourth straight Italian Open quarter-final – and 23rd in an ATP Masters event.

The Greek has now won 13 of his 15 matches on clay this year, and is a heavy favourite to prevail here.

While Jarry has also been impressive so far this fortnight – beating Andrey Rublev’s conqueror Alexandre Muller in round four – but Tsitsipas will be his first seeded opponent.

Therefore, this will be his sternest test by far, and one that is likely to get away from him given the sixth seed’s current confidence levels.
