Carlos Alcaraz locks horns with Daniil Medvedev in a mouth-watering 2024 Indian Wells Masters final on Sunday.

The pair will contest the final for the second year running, with Medvedev eager to avenge his straight-sets defeat 12 months ago.

Both are targeting their first silverware of 2024 having come through deciding sets in the semi-finals.

Medvedev overcame home favourite Tommy Paul, while Alcaraz ended the 16-match winning streak of Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner.

Between them, they have also seen off the likes of Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune, Grigor Dimitrov, Sebastian Korda and Felix Auger-Aliassime this fortnight.

Alcaraz is appearing in his first final since Cincinnati last August, when he was runner-up to Novak Djokovic, and looking for a fifth Masters 1000 title.

Meanwhile, it is Medvedev’s 10th such final and victory would see him complete the full set of hard-court Masters 1000 titles.

The match gets under way at around 9pm GMT (2pm local time) on Stadium 1.

They have both dropped just two sets on the way to reaching the showpiece.

You can see it going the distance, but reigning champion Alcaraz’s momentum at Indian Wells may just be enough to get him over the line.
