Andrey Rublev goes head to head with Alexei Popyrin on Monday for the right to be crowned the 2024 National Bank Open champion.

It will either be a second ATP Masters title of the season for Rublev, or a first in the career of Popyrin.

Rublev had never previously progressed beyond round three at this event, but has enjoyed a welcome upturn in fortunes.

Indeed, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Brandon Nakashima and Matteo Arnaldi have all been cast aside, along with world number one Jannik Sinner.

Meanwhile, Popyrin has seen off the likes of Grigor Dimitrov, Hubert Hurkacz and Sebastian Korda to reach his third ATP final.

And the world number 62 is the lowest-ranked finalist at this event since Harel Levy in 2000.

The match gets under way at around 12.30am BST on Monday and will be contested over the best of three sets on Centre Court.

However, he has bounced back by reaching the Umag semi-finals and Washington quarter-finals prior to his run in this tournament.

His opponent is aiming to maintain his perfect record in ATP finals, having won both his previous such matches.

Although, Rublev’s greater experience at this end of bigger tournaments may just give him the edge here.
