Cameron Norrie bids to reach the Wimbledon fourth round when he goes head to head with Mattia Bellucci on Friday.

Following Jack Draper’s exit at the hands of Marin Cilic on Thursday, Norrie is now the last British player standing in the men’s singles draw at SW19.

A semi-finalist here three years ago, Norrie delighted his home crowd by coming from behind to defeat 12th seed Frances Tiafoe in the second round.

The left-hander now looks to will now look to progress to round four for the first time since that run to the semis.

Norrie will be the second British opponent Bellucci has faced during his ground-breaking run this week.

After losing the opening set against Oliver Crawford in round one, the Italian has subsequently reeled off six without reply, also beating Queen’s Club finalist Jiri Leheckha to reach his first last 32 at a major.

A showdown with either Nicolas Jarry or Joao Fonseca awaits the winner of this clash in the fourth round.

The match gets under way at around 3pm BST on Friday and will be contested over the best of five sets on No.1 Court.

The contrast in experience between the players at this stage is obvious.

While Bellucci finds himself in uncharted territory, this is Norrie’s fourth appearance in round three at Wimbledon in five years.
