Dan Evans and Jay Clarke go head to head in a first-round battle of the British wildcards at Wimbledon on Tuesday.
The chance to potentially take on seven-time champion Novak Djokovic is the prize on offer to the winner of this clash of the home favourites.
Evans is out to end a run of three successive first-round exits at his home slam.
Having fallen out of the world’s top 100, he has been forced to qualify for most ATP events this season, so will welcome the opportunity to go straight into a main draw.
Meanwhile, this will be a first ATP encounter of the season for opponent Clarke, who is back in the men’s singles draw at Wimbledon for the first time since 2022.
Nevertheless, the 26-year-old has claimed three ITF World Tour titles this season, as well as winning a Challenger Tour event in Skopje.
A meeting with either Djokovic or Alexandre Muller awaits the winner of this clash in the second round.
The match gets under way at around 2.30pm BST on Tuesday will be contested over the best of five sets on Court 12.

Given their lack of Wimbledon pedigree in recent years, neither player will be particularly brimming with confidence ahead of this one.
Along with his three straight first-round exits here, Evans also failed to qualify for the Australian and French Open this season.
Meanwhile, Clarke’s four previous appearances at SW19 have yielded just a single victory.
With that in mind, there are likely to be nerves from both players, and it could be a case of who can just about hold themselves together the longest.
