Maja Chwalińska is a Polish left-hander whose qualifier-to-finalist run at Roland-Garros 2026 is one of the great Grand Slam stories. Ranked outside the world’s top 100, she won three qualifying matches and then beat Zheng Qinwen, Elise Mertens, Maria Sakkari, Anna Kalinskaya and Diana Shnaider to reach her first Grand Slam final — only the second qualifier in the Open Era to do so, after Emma Raducanu.
