Francisco Cerundolo is the highest-ranked man in Argentina and in Latin America, ranked World No. 20 with 2,060 points and a career high of World No. 18 behind him. He is the elder brother of fellow tour professional Juan Manuel Cerundolo, and the two reached the third round of Roland-Garros on the same day in 2026.

Playing Style & Strengths
Cerundolo's game is a forehand and everything that serves it. The shot is genuinely large, hit with heavy topspin for angle or flattened out for pace, and he can hurt an opponent with it from anywhere on the court. The two-handed backhand is the supporting shot rather than a weapon: reliable enough to neutralise and reset a rally so the forehand can take over.
The serve is the clearest limitation and the numbers make it plain, around 60% of first serves landing and roughly 2.5 aces a match, which for a player of his ranking means very few free points. His movement and sliding are excellent, which is why clay was the natural home for a career in which three of his five titles came on it and his best Masters result, a Madrid semi-final in 2025, came there too.
