Vekić is a first-strike player who hits flat and heavy off both wings and looks to shorten points rather than build them. The forehand is the bigger shot and the serve is a genuine weapon when the toss holds up, which makes her dangerous on quick hard courts and grass. The vulnerability is movement under pressure: when she is pushed wide and made to construct, the error count rises, and long matches have historically gone against her more often than her ball-striking suggests they should.

Vekić is a streak player and the market knows it, so the value is rarely in her price on any given day. Where she has been underrated is in early rounds of grass and hard-court events against opponents who cannot hurt her first, and in matches that stay short.
