Analysis

Playing Style & Strengths

Bucșa is a right-hander with a two-handed backhand, listed at 1.76m. Doubles is a big part of her game. She has won nine tour-level doubles titles, including the 2024 Madrid Open with Sorribes Tormo, and she is ranked No. 13 in doubles. Her best singles results have come on hard courts. Her Mérida title, her Hong Kong final and her US Open fourth round were all on that surface. Her win over Paolini in Mérida is still her only singles win over a top-10 player.

Betting

Bucșa Betting Tips & Predictions

Bucșa’s hard-court record is the starting point. Her title, her only other tour final and her best Grand Slam run all came on that surface. The very top players have handled her well: Sabalenka beat her 6-1, 6-4 at the 2025 US Open and Coco Gauff won 6-3, 6-4 at the 2026 US Open. She has also lost early to lower-ranked players, as she did against Xinran Sun in Beijing. Treat her with care as a favourite.
