Ann Li
Ann Li is an American right-hander from King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, born on 26 June 2000. She first came to wider notice as runner-up in the 2017 Wimbledon girls’ singles, losing the final to Claire Liu. She is coached by Spain’s Carlos Boluda.
Li has won two WTA singles titles, both on hard courts: Tenerife in 2021 and Guangzhou in 2025. Her best Grand Slam run came at the 2025 US Open, where she reached the fourth round.
2026 has been her most consistent season. She reached the semi-finals in Strasbourg and Monterrey, then had her best week at WTA 1000 level in Wuhan in October. She beat world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) on her tenth match point and reached her first WTA 1000 quarter-final, where Iga Świątek beat her. That run lifted her to a career-high World No. 25 on 19 October 2026, with 1,833 points.

Playing Style & Strengths
Li is a right-hander with a two-handed backhand. Her best tennis has come on hard courts: both of her WTA titles, her deepest Grand Slam run and her first WTA 1000 quarter-final all came on that surface. Her win over Sabalenka in Wuhan showed her patience under pressure. She came from a set down and from 2-4 in the second set, led 5-2 in the decider, and then needed ten match points to finish. That was only her third win over a top-10 player, so her record against the very best is still thin.
Li Betting Tips & Predictions
Li’s best results come on hard courts, and her autumn record in Asia stands out: the Guangzhou title in 2025 and the Wuhan quarter-final in 2026. On those courts she is worth a look against players ranked around her level. Be more careful against the elite. Jessica Pegula beat her 6-1, 6-2 at the 2025 US Open and Iga Świątek won 6-4, 6-1 in Wuhan. Her Sabalenka upset was her first win in four meetings, so treat it as an outlier rather than a trend.
