Swan is a right-hander with a two-handed backhand who plays a clean, flat-hitting baseline game and takes the ball early. At 5ft 9in she is not overpowering, so her matches tend to be decided by how well she controls rally length rather than by raw pace, and her best results have come on quicker courts where her timing rewards her.

The context that matters when reading her results is physical rather than technical. A back injury cost her most of 2024 and she has rebuilt her ranking almost entirely through ITF and lower-tier events, so the sample of matches against top-100 opposition is still small. The Wimbledon 2026 run, where she lost to the 26th seed Madison Keys, was the first real test of the rebuilt game at that level.

Swan is a specialist play rather than an outright one. Her value tends to sit in ITF and WTA 125 markets, where her level is comfortably above the field and her pricing lags her actual form, and much less so in WTA main draws against seeded opponents.
