Marta Kostyuk
Marta Kostyuk is a Ukrainian professional tennis player, a top-15 fixture on the WTA Tour and the 2026 Madrid Open champion — the biggest title of her career and her first at WTA 1000 level. Born in Kyiv, Kostyuk built steadily toward that breakthrough through a run of WTA 500 finals and WTA 1000 quarter-finals before lifting the Madrid trophy without dropping a set. One of the most outspoken players on tour and a vocal advocate for Ukraine, she has since converted that clay-court pedigree into deep Grand Slam runs, reaching back-to-back semi-finals at the 2026 French Open and Wimbledon.

Playing Style & Strengths
Kostyuk is an aggressive baseliner who takes the ball early on both wings. At 175cm she uses her reach to open up angles from the back of the court, and her two-handed backhand is the more dependable of her groundstrokes — flat, controlled and able to redirect pace. Her forehand supplies the upside when she can step in and dictate, while a reliable serve lets her mix placement and power rather than leaning on outright pace.
Her best surface is clay, where her heavy topspin finds more purchase and her patience in long rallies becomes a weapon. She is also competitive on hard courts — her Australian Open quarter-final and her WTA 500 finals came on hard — but the defining results of her career so far have arrived on the dirt.

Kostyuk Betting Tips & Predictions
Kostyuk is a credible each-way option in WTA 1000 outright markets, especially on clay, where her ability to string together wins over higher-ranked opponents has been proven at the highest level. Her Madrid title established her as a genuine dark horse at the clay Grand Slam, and any deep run she makes attracts strong outright interest given her record against the tour’s elite.
