Coco Gauff vs Jessica Pegula Head-to-Head

This is a closer rivalry than either player's ranking history suggests, and surface tells most of the story. Pegula's flatter, more compact ball-striking travelled well on hard courts for most of the series, but Gauff has taken the last two meetings on that surface, including the Cincinnati final where she broke early in both sets against an opponent who had come through three consecutive three-setters. Gauff leads on grass; neither has won a meeting on clay because they have never played one.
