The Guide
Tournament Overview
The Vienna Open, played as the Erste Bank Open, is an ATP 500 event on indoor hard courts at the Wiener Stadthalle, held in the same week as the Swiss Indoors Basel and the week before the Paris Masters. It has a 32-player singles draw.
The 2026 edition runs from 26 October to 1 November. Jannik Sinner, the 2023 and 2025 champion, has ended his season with a knee injury, so there will be a new champion. Carlos Alcaraz has accepted a wildcard, and Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur, Flavio Cobolli and Frances Tiafoe are on the entry list. The ATP says a semi-final in Vienna would make Zverev world No. 1 for the first time on 2 November.
