The Guide
Tournament Overview
The Swiss Indoors Basel is an ATP 500 event on indoor hard courts at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, played in the same week as the Vienna Open and the week before the Paris Masters. It has a 32-player singles draw, and it is the tournament Roger Federer made his own, with ten titles.
The 2026 edition runs from 26 October to 1 November and is the last tournament of Stan Wawrinka's career. João Fonseca, the 2025 champion, has ended his season, so there will be a new champion. Ben Shelton, Novak Djokovic, Arthur Fils, Taylor Fritz and Rafael Jódar are in the field, along with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the new Shanghai Masters champion and last year's runner-up.
