Rafael Nadal never won the Paris Masters. He won Roland-Garros more times than anyone has won any major, in the same city, and never lifted this trophy. Fast indoor courts were the one condition set that consistently worked against him, and the tournament’s late-season slot rarely helped.
Roger Federer won it only once, in 2011, which tells the same story from a different angle.
