Shanghai Masters

The Rolex Shanghai Masters is an ATP Masters 1000 event played on outdoor hard courts at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena. It is the biggest tournament of the Asian swing and, at 96 players across nearly two weeks, one of the largest events outside the majors. The 2025 edition produced the most improbable result in the tournament's history: Valentin Vacherot arrived as a qualifier ranked No. 204, beat Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals, and then beat his own cousin Arthur Rinderknech in the final. He became the lowest-ranked Masters 1000 champion in history and the first player from Monaco to win a tour-level title.
