Wimbledon 2026 Day 12 Predictions: Men’s Semi-Finals, Order of Play & Best Bets
Djokovic and Sinner. Again. The two best players in the world meet in a Wimbledon semi-final on Friday — but not before Britain holds its breath for Arthur Fery. First, Thursday settled the women’s draw: Karolína Muchová saved a match point to stun Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(12-10) in a deciding-set tie-break for the ages, and Linda Nosková eased past Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-4. That sets up an all-Czech final on Saturday — the first all-same-nation Grand Slam final since the 2017 US Open, and a guaranteed maiden major for whoever lifts the Venus Rosewater Dish.
Below: Friday’s Centre Court order of play, full previews and a best bet for both men’s semis — the world No.1 against a seven-time champion, and a French Open winner against the wild card who has SW19 dreaming. Looking for a multi-bet slip? See our Wimbledon Day 12 acca tips.
Wimbledon 2026 Day 12 order of play
Centre Court (from 1:30pm BST)
- Alexander Zverev [2] v Arthur Fery — men’s singles semi-final (not before 1:30pm BST)
- Jannik Sinner [1] v Novak Djokovic — men’s singles semi-final (follows)
Both men’s semis close out Centre Court on Friday. The winners meet in Sunday’s final; the all-Czech women’s final between Muchová and Nosková is on Saturday.
Jannik Sinner v Novak Djokovic preview
The tie of the tournament arrives a round early. Sinner is the defending champion, world No.1 and carries a 12-match Wimbledon winning streak; on grass, off both wings, he has been the most complete player in the draw. But Djokovic is Djokovic. The 38-year-old is chasing a record-extending 25th Grand Slam, beat Sinner from two sets down in the Australian Open semi-final in January, and has just come through the longest quarter-final in Wimbledon history — five hours and 15 minutes against Félix Auger-Aliassime. The question is what that epic took out of the legs with barely a day to recover. Sinner has dropped fewer sets and spent far less time on court, and on a quicker second-week Centre Court his depth and clean ball-striking should tell over best-of-five.
Best bet: Jannik Sinner to win, ~4/6 with Bet365. Fresher, in-form and the superior grass-courter — the recovery gap after Djokovic’s five-hour quarter-final is the decisive edge. Approx odds.

Alexander Zverev v Arthur Fery preview
The fairytale meets the favourite. Fery began the fortnight ranked No.114 and needed a wild card just to be in the draw; he is now one win from a Wimbledon final after beating Zizou Bergs, Grigor Dimitrov and Flavio Cobolli, the lowest-ranked man in a SW19 semi since Goran Ivanišević in 2001. Zverev, the Roland Garros champion and world No.2, is a monstrous step up — he has dropped only two sets all tournament and owns the serve, the power and the big-match experience Fery has never faced at this altitude. The occasion and the Centre Court roar will lift the Briton, and a fast start could rattle a player whose nerves have wobbled on the biggest stages before. But over three or five sets the class gap is stark, and the smart read is Zverev closing this out without the drama.
Best bet: Alexander Zverev to win in straight sets, ~4/6 with Paddy Power. He has been ruthless in closing matches out and Fery, for all the romance, is 6/1 for a reason. Approx odds.
