2026 Under Pressure Leaders
Serve rating and return rating measure what happens across a match. Under pressure stats measure what happens in the moments that decide it: break points, tie-breaks, deciding sets. In 2026, Arthur Fils leads the ATP under pressure rating at 263.9 after the US Open, with Jannik Sinner (256.3) second.
Data update (post-US Open, 14 September 2026): Arthur Fils holds the top of the pressure rating at 263.9, with Jannik Sinner second (256.3) and Learner Tien third (247.5). Sinner owns the tour’s best tie-break record at 79.2%, while Fils has yet to lose a deciding set inside the 52-week window.
ATP Under Pressure Leaders 2026
The ATP Under Pressure Rating combines four metrics: break points converted, break points saved, tie-break wins, and deciding-set wins. It is the category most closely linked to match outcomes — players can dominate serve and return statistics and still lose matches by failing to convert or save break points at the critical moment.
Arthur Fils leads at 263.9, the Frenchman carrying a perfect deciding-set record through the 52-week window. Jannik Sinner (256.3) is second on the strength of a tour-best 79.2% tie-break win rate, and Learner Tien (247.5) is third having won 70.0% of his own tie-breaks.
The most striking data point belongs to Arthur Fils, and it comes with a caveat. A 100% deciding-set record is the single biggest driver of his rating, but the ATP publishes that percentage without the match count behind it, so the sample is unknown and probably small. That is exactly why the composite matters. Jannik Sinner wins tie-breaks at a higher rate than anyone on tour and still sits second, because he so rarely lets a match drift to a decider that his 63.6% there stays modest.
| Rank | Player | Pressure Rating | Tie-Breaks Won | Deciding Sets Won |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Arthur Fils | 263.9 | 56.5% | 100.0% |
| 2 | Jannik Sinner | 256.3 | 79.2% | 63.6% |
| 3 | Learner Tien | 247.5 | 70.0% | 75.0% |
| 4 | Flavio Cobolli | 243.6 | 60.0% | 81.3% |
| 5 | Félix Auger-Aliassime | 243.6 | 63.6% | 72.2% |
| 6 | Sebastian Baez | 241.7 | 60.0% | 75.0% |
| 7 | Novak Djokovic | 237.8 | 66.7% | 61.5% |
| 8 | Ignacio Buse | 237.4 | 57.9% | 73.7% |
| 9 | Taylor Fritz | 235.7 | 65.1% | 69.6% |
| 10 | Arthur Fery | 235.5 | 57.1% | 83.3% |
Further down the top 10, Flavio Cobolli (4th) and Sebastian Baez (6th) both take better than three deciding sets in four, Novak Djokovic (7th) wins two thirds of his tie-breaks at 66.7%, and Taylor Fritz (9th) pairs a 65.1% tie-break rate with a 69.6% deciding-set record.
ATP Tie-Breaks Won
The pressure rating is a composite, so it can hide who is actually best in each of its parts. On tie-breaks the answer is emphatic. Jannik Sinner wins 79.2% of them, more than nine points clear of Learner Tien in second, and the only players within reach are Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic on 66.7%.
| Rank | Player | Tie-Breaks Won | Pressure Rating | Pressure Rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Jannik Sinner | 79.2% | 256.3 | 2 |
| 2 | Learner Tien | 70.0% | 247.5 | 3 |
| 3 | Alexander Zverev | 66.7% | 234.0 | 12 |
| 4 | Novak Djokovic | 66.7% | 237.8 | 7 |
| 5 | Alex de Minaur | 65.4% | 226.0 | 20 |
| 6 | Taylor Fritz | 65.1% | 235.7 | 9 |
| 7 | João Fonseca | 65.0% | 225.2 | 21 |
| 8 | Denis Shapovalov | 64.3% | 219.5 | 25 |
| 9 | Félix Auger-Aliassime | 63.6% | 243.6 | 5 |
| 10 | Fabian Marozsan | 63.0% | 194.2 | 60 |
Deciding Sets Won
Deciding sets tell a different story, and one that needs reading with care: the ATP publishes these as percentages without the match counts behind them, so a short season can carry a player up the list. Arthur Fils is the only man in the field yet to lose a deciding set, with Arthur Fery (83.3%) and Flavio Cobolli (81.3%) next.
| Rank | Player | Deciding Sets Won | Pressure Rating | Pressure Rank |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Arthur Fils | 100.0% | 263.9 | 1 |
| 2 | Arthur Fery | 83.3% | 235.5 | 10 |
| 3 | Flavio Cobolli | 81.3% | 243.6 | 4 |
| 4 | Rafael Jódar | 76.5% | 229.5 | 15 |
| 5 | Thiago Agustin Tirante | 75.0% | 231.1 | 14 |
| 6 | Learner Tien | 75.0% | 247.5 | 3 |
| 7 | Daniel Merida | 75.0% | 222.9 | 22 |
| 8 | Sebastian Baez | 75.0% | 241.7 | 6 |
| 9 | Ignacio Buse | 73.7% | 237.4 | 8 |
| 10 | Félix Auger-Aliassime | 72.2% | 243.6 | 5 |
WTA Under Pressure Leaders 2026
The WTA does not publish a composite under pressure rating, but break point conversion and break points saved together tell the same story: who performs best when the game is on the line. In 2026 the two lists could hardly look more different — returners and counter-punchers dominate the conversion chart, while the first-strike servers monopolise break points saved.
Break Points Converted
Kamilla Rakhimova leads the WTA in break-point conversion at 53.3% from 27 matches, with Emma Raducanu (52.5%) and Ajla Tomljanovic (51.9%) close behind. Clutch returning from three players who make their living on the counter-attack.
| Rank | Player | BP Converted % | Matches |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kamilla Rakhimova | 53.3% | 27 |
| 2 | Emma Raducanu | 52.5% | 22 |
| 3 | Ajla Tomljanovic | 51.9% | 26 |
| 4 | Elina Svitolina | 51.3% | 56 |
| 5 | Iga Świątek | 50.9% | 50 |
| 6 | Kimberly Birrell | 50.7% | 30 |
| 7 | Belinda Bencic | 50.6% | 37 |
| 8 | Iva Jovic | 50.6% | 51 |
| 9 | Amanda Anisimova | 50.3% | 34 |
| 10 | Camila Osorio | 50.2% | 32 |
Break Points Saved
Elena Rybakina’s 65.2% break points saved from 62 matches edges Linda Noskova (64.3%) and Aryna Sabalenka (63.5%) as the dominant figures. When opponents reach break point against these three, the delivery that got them there is usually the shot that erases it.
| Rank | Player | BP Saved % | Matches |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Elena Rybakina | 65.2% | 62 |
| 2 | Linda Nosková | 64.3% | 47 |
| 3 | Aryna Sabalenka | 63.5% | 55 |
| 4 | Leylah Fernandez | 63.3% | 39 |
| 5 | Madison Keys | 62.8% | 45 |
| 6 | Barbora Krejčíková | 62.6% | 30 |
| 7 | Elina Svitolina | 62.3% | 56 |
| 8 | Karolína Muchová | 61.9% | 47 |
| 9 | Taylor Townsend | 61.7% | 25 |
| 10 | Qinwen Zheng | 61.4% | 28 |
