Katie Boulter is ranked just outside the top 30. How WTA Rankings Work

WTA singles rankings are calculated on a rolling 52-week points basis, with each player’s best 16 results counting toward their total. Grand Slam winners earn 2,000 ranking points, WTA 1000 winners earn 1,000, WTA 500 winners earn 500 and WTA 250 winners earn 250. Points drop off exactly 52 weeks after they were earned.

WTA Race to Riyadh 2026

The WTA Race to Riyadh tracks ranking points earned from 1 January of the current year only. The top eight singles players qualify for the year-end WTA Finals in Riyadh. The Race resets each January, making it a pure measure of in-season form.
