Roland-Garros will crown a first-time women’s Grand Slam champion. World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka — the last former major winner left in the draw — was stunned 3-6, 7-5, 6-0 by Diana Shnaider in the quarter-finals, so all four women in the last four are chasing a maiden title. Today’s semi-finals pit Mirra Andreeva against Marta Kostyuk in a rematch of this year’s Madrid final, while giant-killer Shnaider meets qualifier Maja Chwalinska — the world No.114 one win from the most improbable final in memory.

The men’s last four (Friday) is set too: Alexander Zverev, the only man left to have reached a Grand Slam final, faces Jakub Menšík, and Italy is guaranteed a finalist as Matteo Arnaldi takes on Flavio Cobolli. Below: the quarter-final results, the semi-final order of play, our best bets and the acca.

Quarter-Final Results: Sabalenka Stunned, Italy Makes History

The biggest shock of the fortnight: world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka, the last Grand Slam champion left in the women’s draw, was beaten by Diana Shnaider — so Roland-Garros is guaranteed a first-time women’s champion. Qualifier Maja Chwalinska continued her fairytale, while Flavio Cobolli and Matteo Arnaldi reached maiden major semi-finals to make it an all-Italian last-four clash.

Quarter-Final Result Score
Shnaider d. Sabalenka (1) UPSET — world No.1 out 3-6, 7-5, 6-0
Chwalinska (Q) d. Kalinskaya (22) Qualifier into the semis 7-6(3), 6-3
Cobolli (10) d. Auger-Aliassime (4) Maiden GS semi-final 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4
Arnaldi d. Berrettini Berrettini retired (hip) 7-5, 5-2 ret.

Semi-Final Best Bets

Andreeva to beat Kostyuk

A rematch of this year’s Madrid final and their third meeting of 2026. Mirra Andreeva, the 19-year-old eighth seed, is the highest-ranked player left in the women’s draw and hasn’t dropped a set all fortnight. Marta Kostyuk has been superb — beating Swiatek and Svitolina — but Andreeva’s consistency edges it. Tip: Andreeva to win (around 8/13).

Shnaider to beat Chwalinska

Diana Shnaider arrives on a high after dismantling Sabalenka, and meets a qualifier ranked No.114 in Maja Chwalinska, whose dream run has been the story of the women’s event. Chwalinska has nothing to lose, but the big-hitting lefty Shnaider is rightly favourite to reach a first major final. Tip: Shnaider to win (around 1/3).

Zverev to beat Mensik (Friday)

The men’s standout. Alexander Zverev is the only man left to have contested a Grand Slam final, and his experience and clay pedigree should tell against the big-serving Jakub Menšík, who is into his first major semi-final. Tip: Zverev to win (around 2/5).

Semi-Final Acca

Two of today’s women’s picks plus Friday’s men’s leans, in one slip:

Leg Selection Approx Odds
1 Mirra Andreeva to win 8/13
2 Diana Shnaider to win 1/3
3 Alexander Zverev to win 2/5
4 Flavio Cobolli to win 5/6

Combined: around 9/2. Shnaider v Chwalinska is the safest leg on paper, but the all-Italian Arnaldi v Cobolli is a genuine coin-flip — treat the Cobolli leg as the risk. Build it with new-customer free bets via the Bet365 Bet £10 Get £30 welcome offer.
