French Open 2026 Day 7 Predictions, Order of Play & Best Bets
For the second day running a top-three men’s seed went out from two sets to love up. Novak Djokovic — the last Grand Slam champion in the men’s draw — was beaten by 19-year-old João Fonseca 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 5-7 on Chatrier, the first teenager ever to beat Djokovic in a major. Coming 24 hours after Jannik Sinner‘s identical implosion against Cerúndolo, the men’s draw is now blown wide open. Iga Swiatek, Alexander Zverev, Mirra Andreeva, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Elina Svitolina all came through Day 6. Day 7 brings the top-half third round: world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka meets Daria Kasatkina, defending champion Coco Gauff plays Anastasia Potapova (who beat Boulter on Day 5), Naomi Osaka meets teenage qualifier Iva Jovic, Felix Auger-Aliassime headlines the Chatrier night session against Brandon Nakashima, and Frances Tiafoe — one of the highest-ranked names left in Sinner’s half — meets Jaime Faria. Below: yesterday’s results, today’s order of play, our best bets and the Day 7 acca.

Day 6 Results: Fonseca Stuns Djokovic, Swiatek and Zverev Cruise
The defining match was on Chatrier and lasted four-and-a-half hours: 19-year-old João Fonseca beat Novak Djokovic 4-6, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 to become the first teenager to beat the 24-time major champion in a Grand Slam — and the second top-three men’s seed in 24 hours to lose from two sets to love up. Elsewhere the seeds held: Iga Swiatek opened Chatrier with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Magda Linette, Alexander Zverev handled Quentin Halys 6-4, 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 under the lights, and Mirra Andreeva brushed past Marie Bouzkova 6-4, 6-2. Casper Ruud came from two sets down himself to beat Tommy Paul 4-6, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(4), 7-5 — the third 2-0 comeback of the tournament. Andrey Rublev moved through 7-5, 7-6, 7-6 against Borges, and Elina Svitolina tidied up Korpatsch 6-2, 6-3. The Day 6 acca won three legs and lost on Djokovic.

Day 7 Order of Play: Top Half R3
Top half R3 — and with Sinner and Djokovic both gone, every match in the men’s bottom half of the draw matters more than it did 48 hours ago. World No.1 Sabalenka and defending champion Gauff headline the women’s side; FAA gets the Chatrier night session.
| Court / Session | Match | Round |
| Chatrier (day) | Aryna Sabalenka (1) v Daria Kasatkina | R3 |
| Chatrier (NB 16:00 CEST) | Coco Gauff (4) v Anastasia Potapova (28) | R3 |

French Open Day 7 Best Bets
Sabalenka to beat Kasatkina
World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka has dropped one and four games in her first two matches, and beat Daria Kasatkina in straight sets in their Madrid quarter-final last month. Kasatkina is a clay-court stylist who can absorb power but Sabalenka’s serve and ball-striking on Chatrier in form is the difference. Tip: Sabalenka to win (around 1/10).
Gauff to beat Potapova
Defending champion Coco Gauff meets the woman who put Boulter out on Day 5 — Anastasia Potapova played a brilliant comeback for that win but has been losing in three sets all spring otherwise. Gauff has dropped a set in her first two; on this surface, in this form, she’s still the clear favourite. Tip: Gauff to win (around 1/4).
Auger-Aliassime in the night session
Felix Auger-Aliassime survived a five-set scare in R1 then beat Burruchaga in four. Brandon Nakashima — who upset Fritz in R1 — is a real test on a quick night-session Chatrier, but FAA’s serve and clay grounding give him the slightly better profile across five sets. Tip: Auger-Aliassime to win (around 1/2).
French Open Day 7 Acca
Four top-half R3 favourites combined into one slip:
| Leg | Selection | Approx Odds |
| 1 | Aryna Sabalenka to win | 1/10 |
| 2 | Coco Gauff to win | 1/4 |
| 3 | Frances Tiafoe to win | 1/3 |
| 4 | Felix Auger-Aliassime to win | 1/2 |
Combined: around 3/1. Two straight days of from-two-sets-up upsets means no acca is bombproof at this stage — Sinner and Djokovic both proved it. The live leg today is FAA in the night session against a Nakashima who already upset Fritz this fortnight.
