The 2026 season has already delivered drama across its first three Grand Slams. Carlos Alcaraz opened the year by beating Novak Djokovic to win the Australian Open, completing the career Grand Slam at 22 — the youngest man ever to do so. Alexander Zverev then landed a maiden major at Roland-Garros, before Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Wimbledon crown against Zverev in the final. On the WTA side, Linda Nosková claimed a breakthrough Wimbledon title in the first all-Czech Grand Slam final, in a wide-open women’s season that also features Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Świątek and Coco Gauff.
The North American hard-court swing is in full flow: Ben Shelton and Iga Świątek took the Canadian Open titles, and the Cincinnati Open is under way now — the last big test before the season’s final Grand Slam, the US Open, which begins in New York on 30 August.
