Both Day 5 slips lost, and so did Day 4’s. That is three write-offs in a row, all of them built on short-priced seeds in a fortnight where eleven men’s seeds have already gone. Acca 1 — The Seeds Slip (4-fold)
Four favourites who have all come through their first two rounds without trouble. Carlos Alcaraz is the outright favourite at around 43% implied and has dropped one set. Aryna Sabalenka has conceded six games in two matches. Ben Shelton meets Denis Shapovalov for the fifth time under the lights on Ashe. Daniil Medvedev faces Arthur Rinderknech, the 26th seed, which is the softest leg of the four.

Acca 2 — The Value Slip (3-fold)
Three ties where the seeding and the form point in different directions. Alex Michelsen and Daniel Merida meet in a third round neither has reached before, after knocking out Brandon Nakashima and Andrey Rublev respectively. Jiří Lehečka has not dropped a set and faces an unseeded Stefanos Tsitsipas who has needed four sets twice. Sorana Cirstea against Jasmine Paolini is a 16th seed against a 19th seed, which the prices rarely reflect.

This is the slip with a return worth taking. Treat it as a small stake: all three are live outcomes rather than likelihoods, and the Tsitsipas match in particular could go either way on a late finish.

Acca 3 — The Straight Sets Slip (3-fold)
There is no British slip today. Harriet Dart and Francesca Jones both went out in the second round and every British man had already gone, so Britain has nobody left in either singles draw. In its place, three players who have been winning without being extended.
