The fourth round starts on Day 8 with eight ties, and it is the strongest single card of the fortnight: Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, Ben Shelton and Daniil Medvedev all play, and two of the eight are genuinely open. Three slips below.
Day 7 is still finishing as this goes up, but the value call landed: Zheng Qinwen beat Madison Keys at odds-against from a set down. The Straight Sets Slip died on Taylor Fritz, who led by two sets and lost in five. Odds are approximate at the time of writing and we quote a number only where we can stand behind it. Today’s full card and best bets are in our US Open 2026 Day 8 predictions and order of play.
Acca 1 — The Seeds Slip (4-fold)
The four cleanest runs in the draw. Aryna Sabalenka has dropped 15 games and no sets in three matches. Carlos Alcaraz has dropped 31 games and one set. Daniil Medvedev has not lost a set either and beat Arthur Rinderknech 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. Jessica Pegula meets 16th seed Sorana Cirstea, which is the least comfortable leg of the four.
| Leg | Selection | Approx odds |
| 1 | Carlos Alcaraz to beat Tommy Paul | Odds-on |
| 2 | Aryna Sabalenka to beat Taylor Townsend | Odds-on |
| 3 | Daniil Medvedev to beat Frances Tiafoe | Around evens |
| 4 | Jessica Pegula to beat Sorana Cirstea | Odds-on |
If you want to shorten it, drop the Medvedev leg. Frances Tiafoe is the 11th seed, has home support in a night session and beat 22nd seed Valentin Vacherot in straight sets to get here, so this is closer to a coin toss than the price suggests.

Acca 2 — The Value Slip (3-fold)
Three ties the seeding does not settle. Alex Michelsen is unseeded and has dropped fewer games than any man in the last 16 bar Karen Khachanov. Marta Kostyuk has not lost a set and meets a Wimbledon champion who has. Stefanos Tsitsipas is unseeded here and has already knocked out the 10th and 18th seeds.
| Leg | Selection | Approx odds |
| 1 | Alex Michelsen to beat Tomás Martín Etcheverry | Around evens |
| 2 | Marta Kostyuk to beat Linda Nosková | Odds-against |
| 3 | Stefanos Tsitsipas to beat Ben Shelton | Odds-against |
This is the slip with a return worth taking and it should be a small stake. The Tsitsipas leg is the one carrying the risk: Shelton serves better and has the crowd on Ashe, but the two have dropped three sets each and Tsitsipas has taken out the 10th and 18th seeds to get here.

Acca 3 — The Straight Sets Slip (3-fold)
Three players who have not lost a set all tournament. The warning from Day 7 stands: this slip has now died twice on a favourite dropping an early set, and Carlos Alcaraz has already given one up to Jaime Faria.
| Leg | Selection | Approx odds |
| 1 | Aryna Sabalenka to win 2–0 | Odds-on |
| 2 | Marta Kostyuk to win 2–0 | Odds-against |
| 3 | Daniil Medvedev to win 3–0 | Odds-against |
Daniil Medvedev has won all nine sets he has played and dropped 31 games doing it, but a night session against an American is the hardest place in tennis to keep a clean sheet.
